Little Indians works together with producers with the same goal in mind. We use organic cotton for our products. Organic cotton is wonderfully soft for baby's skin and ensures a nice fit and great wearing comfort.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) has been developed to further produce organic cotton and other organically grown fibers into a sustainable garment or textile.

For example, the standard sets requirements for factories regarding the use of harmful chemicals. In addition, factories are obliged to use a sustainable wastewater system and to use water and energy sparingly.

GOTS also includes criteria regarding working conditions, which are based on International Labor Organization standards, such as the right to freedom of association and the right to safe and healthy working conditions.

The GOTS standard is applied chain-wide in the processing of biological fibers. Certain recognized standards and certificates for organic farming are permitted by GOTS, then certification based on GOTS starts at the first step in the processing.

Certification of the entire textile chain

The GOTS standard applies to the entire textile chain:

• the cultivation
• the processing of fibers into fabric
• the manufacture of the final product
• the packaging, labelling, trade and distribution of all textiles made from at least 70% certified organic natural fibres.
